When possible, it is best to buy organic. Buy foods that are free from GMO’s and pesticides. Food grown in organic soil is higher in nutrition because the soil contains more minerals than conventional soil. Organic food is also more nutritious in chemicals that support longevity due to hormesis from the stress of being grown in its natural environment.

It is important that you consume raw food. Raw foods have electrons, the life force energy, that your body needs to create energy. The vital nutrients and the electrical potential of foods are destroyed by cooking, It is important not to over cook your food when heating. However, some nutrients are better absorbed by the intestines when food is cooked. Another good way to absorb nutrients is to puree your food. Nutrients are better absorbed by the small intestines when they are thoroughly broken down which is why it is important to chew your food well. Using a combination of raw, cooked and pureed food is beneficial.
Weight Loss
In order to lose weight, you must consume less calories than your body needs to maintain its weight. In order to gain weight, you must consume more calories than your body needs to maintain its weight. Since everyone's metabolism is different, the amount of calories varies per person. The average American consumes an over abundance of calories. The high fat, high animal and high processed foods consumption in the Standard American Diet is extremely high in oil, sugar and calories and is void of nutritional value. These excess calories add pounds and weight gain. On a plant based diet, you will be cutting out these excess calories from unhealthy foods that lead to weight gain. You will be able to consume more food, yet it will be less calories and will lose weight.
